The NJ Department of Children & Families and the NJ Department of Education have partnered to launch the New Jersey Statewide Student Support Services (NJ4S) Network! 15 regional NJ4S Hubs have been established across the state to deliver comprehensive, prevention-focused mental health and wellness services to youth, families, and school staff at no cost. NJ4S Hubs can provide educational presentations, interactive workshops, targeted support groups, clinical assessments, therapeutic interventions, and more!
The NJ4S Passaic County Hub serves students, families, schools, and community organizations across Passaic County.

The NJ4S Passaic County Hub is staffed and operated by The New Jersey Community Development Corporation (NJCDC), which has been supporting Passaic County for over thirty years.

NJ4S provides three tiers of support, focusing on both prevention and intervention.
Tier 1 includes workshops, webinars, & assemblies on a wide variety of topics (mental health, internet safety, bullying prevention, and more).
Tier 2 involves recurring evidence-based groups for skill-building and support.
Tier 3 provides one-on-one services with a licensed mental health clinician for assessments, short-term therapy, and more.

Tier 1 services are universally available, open to Passaic County students, families, school staff, and community organizations.
Tier 2 and 3 services are available to Passaic County public school students in grades 6-12.

Tier 1 services can be requested through our website’s contact form or via email to NJ4S@NJCDC.org.
To request Tier 2 or 3 services, an NJ4S School Liaison must fill out an application via Salesforce.

Contact your school’s NJ4S liaison (often a member of the guidance department staff) who can submit an application on your behalf. If your school does not yet have an NJ4S liaison, encourage staff to get in contact by sending a message through our contact form or emailing NJ4S@njcdc.org.

Parental consent is required for youth under the age of 16 to participate in NJ4S Tier 2 (recurring groups) and Tier 3 (therapeutic intervention) services.

NJ4S services will not change, replicate, or duplicate services offered through CSOC, including CMO or CMRSS services. NJ4S and CSOC’s system partners work together to sustain a seamless continuum of prevention, early intervention, and treatment services for youth and their families.

No. Schools with existing SBYS programs will continue to implement those services. NJ4S Tier 1 services will also be available to youth and families in those schools. NJ4S Tier 2 and Tier 3 services will not be available to students attending schools with School Based Youth Services.

NJ4S deploys prevention and intervention staff to local schools and community locations within a county to provide services. SBYS programs utilize a school-based model in which staff are based in a single school, and only serve students of that school.
